Lo & Behold

Riding high on the highest high

and laying low on the lowest low

all in a sliver of a second…

not paced but painfully slow

A single word was all it took

to afford a glimpse of the blue’s highest nook

gravity beckoned but in a moment following

in a free fall spiralling downward…

with a whoosh of air in ears billowing

this was the tale of a mere part of a lousy day

with rockbottom apprised; cold, dull and grey.
